Billy Freeman

Billy is a producer and sub-editor for News.Net, the latest step in a career which has lasted more than two decades. He started while at university working for the Sydney 2000 organising committee, where he wrote biographies of thousands of athletes and covered the Olympics and Paralympics. Following this, he moved on to Australian Associated Press, spending 18 years reporting on everything from NRL grand finals to the 50th anniversary of Australian Women's Weekly. He then went to The Daily Telegraph, holding the position of evening website editor, where he was a big part of leading the site's coverage of the Black Summer bushfires, among other stories.
